When we left for Rarotonga Kat and I shared a suitcase, with some room to spare. The Sydney happened… and we had to buy another suitcase to bring home all the new clothes we were the proud new owners off!
To fit all our stuff into one bag took some planning. Kat’s pretty easy to dress, but I felt like I needed something for every occasion, I thought I did rather well, but I wasn’t expecting people to get as dressed up as they did to go night clubbing in Rarotonga!
Here’s a few holiday outfit snapshots. You can go to this post if you want to see a polyvore/list version of my entire packing list. I packed my hair straightener, but not my hairdryer, I assumed the hotel would have one.. they didn’t, so instead I tried to embrace the curls!
The weather was in the mid to high 20s most of the time so the only time I wore my black skinnies was on the plane ride over. I did get to try out my brand new red bathing suit (from Ezibuy), and this time I made it out of the ocean without being attacked by little fish. I saw some while we were snorkeling and the red suit my have scared them off Before this trip the last time I swam in the ocean was on a trip to Samoa in 2007…. where fish bit me!!! Hence the earlier comments… i’m completely normal…
My denim shorts came in handy, in fact I didn’t even bother with the white pair. It was either these or a dress. The kmart dresses I picked up just before we left were perfect AND they have pockets!!
We were pretty much sick of picture taking by the time we got to Sydney and I had too many shopping bags to lug around so the camera got left at the hotel. I’m not sure why I wore this jacket it was 29/30 degrees in Sydney!!
I made a last minute choice to ditch my wedge heels and I think it was the right choice, i’m not sure where I would have worn them…
As you can see the scenery was AMAZING!! Stay tuned for some more holiday snaps
